Special Human Welfare Package Programme for Municipalities :

• Package Programme implemented for municipalities of Bhuj, Anjar, Bhachau, Gandhidham, Adipur, Wankaner, Halvad, Limdi and Morbi severely affected by earthquake, accordingly, Bhuj municipality granted Rs.1 Crore and rest 8 Rs.50 lac each.
• Ahmedabad municipality grants Rs.5 Crores for rehabilitation of people of earthquake affected houses, through the municipal commissioner.
• In addition, the salary of employees for 3 months under these nine municipalities to be borne by the state Government.

• A Package of cash doles for the people injured and for those who had undergone operations in the wake of the earthquake :

- External ordinary injury........................................Rs. 2,000

- Minor injury.......................................................Rs. 5,000

- Major injury.......................................................Rs. 10,000

- Permanent State of disability-under 40 percent. Rs.25,000

- Permanent State of disability-over 40 percent....Rs.50,000

Recommendation for the vote on account in the budget session scheduled on February, 19 and to reschedule the time table of the session, since the entire administration was engrossed in the relief work.
