The massive earthquake on 26th January 2001 has ruined the lives in lakhs. The sufferings faced by our community are inexpressive & Panjokutch has proved to be catalyst in accelerating the relief work.

Panjokutch is totally non-commercial web portal developed under the roof of Savita K. Shah Charitable Trust for the betterment of the society. Panjokutch from the day of earthquake has been progressively moving towards Disaster Management. We have not only been major coordinating agent by bridging the gap between various NGOs, government & individual at large but also various socially beneficial projects as a friendly approach towards The Central & State Government. ±     Our team of volunteers was sent to Kutch via Bhavnagar route & fairy boat.

±     News were sought through Ham radios / satellite phones.

±     Team of Software consultants were engaged right away & search engines were developed instantly for locating, finding & happening the victims.

±     Even councillors were employed for psychological counselling of victims & specially their relatives. Advocate Narendra Gada is one such councillor who has offered his service during this critical period selflessly for at least a month.

±     Database was made ready of important contact numbers in Kutch & Mumbai, list of NGOs & social institutions from all over the world, multinational companies & business empires, world foundations, individuals – dignitaries, government bureaucrats, etc…
