| Procedure: |
| The
Groom along with his relatives waits at
the doorsteps of the marriage
hall. The Bride carrying a decorated dry coconut
in both her hands walks slowly towards the Groom. She
is accompanied by her relatives are singing songs related to
the event. Then the Bride places that coconut on to the feet
of the Groom and touches his feet Then the Maharaj
gives the Bride a flower garland which she puts around the Groom.
Similarly the Groom also puts around a flower garland
on the Bride. Then the Bride's mother does Ponkhna Vidhi to the Groom
which is accompanied by some Shloks by the Maharaj.The Bride's mother has
to also carry the clothes which are uorn by the Bride on the
Samota day which are immersed an milk & sugar After
the Ponkhna Vidhi, the Groom has to break the sarambhla by his
right leg which placed on wooden
table. Then the Grooms proceeds in the marriage hall for
'Chauri' |
