The bride & the groom enter the lagna mandap for chauri proceedings.The maharaj ties hathuda on both the bride & the groom's hand. Then the maharaj carries on the proceedings for the four phera. The first phera is attended by bride's mother & father. Second by bride's brother & bhabhi, third by bride's mama-mami. The fourth is attended by groom's mother & father. After the fourth phera, the bride's wears keda & chappal or sandal in her feet & the groom's parents wrap gharchola on the bride's shoulders giving blessing to the married couple. Then the hathuda is untied & chairs are exchanged. During the whole process related songs are sung by both the sides |
