Mrs Carole Douglas visited Kutch for 6 weeks. Her main objective was setting up Community to Community projects between Austrailian communities and Kutch. One project is an exhibition of Kutch textiles in Februaruy 2003. The exhibition will take place at the Manly Art Gallery in Sydney. Twenty artists will be selected to make work for the show. They will be paid a fee to make the work which can also be sold by the artist. This project will help Kutch artisans to reestablish after the earthquake and raise awareness of Kutch textiles in other parts of the World.

So far 6 arts have been selected including
- Ajarak printing
-Weaving
- Tie dye (Bandhani)
- Patola Silk weaving
- Rogan painting.

Mrs Douglas will visit Kutch again in November to meet more artists.
Other Community to Community projects will link schools, households and businesses to help Kutch rebuild its future.
