When
I am walking down the street, I do so like to watch my feet. Perhaps you do not know the news, Mother has bought me fine new shoe When the left one steps, I do not speak, I listen to its happy squeak. |

In the
house Of Mr. And Mrs. Spouse He and she Would watch teevee And never a word Between them spoken Until the day The set was broken Then 'How do you do? Said he to she' I don't believe That we've met get Spouse is my name What's yours?" he asked' Why, mine's the same!' Said she to he, 'Do you suppose we could be-? 'But the set came suddenly right about, And so they never did find out. |

Life
is like an Ice-Cream Enjoy it before it melts It has gives and takes And lot of hard shakes Joy and sorrow And troubles which no one, Would like to Borrow It also has ups and downs But no one ever drowns It also has agreement and disagreement But does not need a rent So use life before it's bent And does not get a dent But is full of commitment. |
| What
does little birdie say In her nest at peep of day? "Let me fly!" say little birdie, "Mother let me fly away." "Birdie, rest a little longer, Till the little wings are stronger" So she rests a little longer, Then she flies away. What does little baby say In her bed at peep of day? Baby says, like little birdie, "Let me rise and fly away" "Baby, sleep a little longer, Till the limbs are stronger. "If she sleep a little longer, Baby, too, shall fly away. |

O Mother,
O Mother-how cold I thank god for you? So loving and kind, so helpful and caring. O Mother, O Mother-how cold I thank god for you? A gift to every child on earth, To give everyone joy. O Mother, O Mother-how cold I thank god for you? You are the one who makes me smile You are the one who is my helper. O Mother, O Mother-how cold I thank god for you? You are the one who is my inspirationYou are the one who is my guide. O Mother, O Mother-how cold I thank god for you? You are the one who removes my sadness, You are the one who bring joy in my heart. O Mother, O Mother-how cold I thank god for you? You are the most wonderful gift in this world. |

One,
two, three, four, five, Once I caught a fish alive. Six, seven, eight, nine, ten, But I let it go again. Why did you let it go? Because it bit my finger so. Which finger did it bite? The little finger on the right. Goosey, Goosey, Gander Goosey, Goosey, Gander, Where shall I wander? Upstairs and downstairs, And in my lady's chamber. Tree I met an old man, Who would not say his prayers I took him by the left leg And threw him down the stairs. |

My father
has a pair of shoes So beautiful it sees! I want it wear my father's shoes hey are too big for me. My baby brother has a pair As cunning as can be! My feet won't go into that pair They are too small for me. There's only one thing I can do Till I get small or grown If I want to have a fitting shoe I'll have to wear my own. |

Flowers
are those, Which refresh a man's heart. Flowers are those, Which bring colour to a man's life. Flowers are those, Which can change the attitude of a person? Flowers are those, Which keep the atmosphere gay. Flowers are those, Which make a person energetic and fresh. Flowers are those, Which attract the Honey-bees. Flowers are those, Which make an ill People feel better. Flowers are those, Which can change the environment and, Feel it with its fragrance. So flowers play a very important role in our life. |

There
is a little maiden- Who is she? Do you know? Who always has a welcome. Whenever she may go, Her face is like the May-time Her voice is like a bird's The sweetest of all music, Is in her joyful words. Each spot she makes the brighter As if she were the sun, And she is sought and cherished, And loved by everyone By old folks and by children. By lofty and by low. Who is this little maiden? Does anybody know? You surely must have met her, You certainly can guess, What! Must I introduce her? Her name is CHEERFULNESS. |
| All
things bright and beautiful All creatures great and small All things wise and wonderful The good god made them all. Each little flower that opens, Each little bird that sings, He made their glowing colours He made their tiny wings. The purple-headed mountain The river running by The morning and the sunset That brightens up the sky. The tall trees in the greenwood The pleasant summer sun The ripe fruits in the garden He made them every one. He gave us eyes to see them Might lips that we might tell How great is god almighty Who has made all things well? |

Humpty
Dumpty sat on a wall Humpty Dumpty had a great fall All the king's horses, And all the king's men, Cannot put Humpty Dumpty together again. |
| I
wandered lonely as a cloud That floats on high o'er Vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host of golden Daffodils; Besides the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. Continuous as the stars that shine And twinkle on the milky way, They stretched in never- |

up the hill, To fetch a pail of water, Jack fell down, and broke his crown, And Jill came Tumbling after. |
| Going
by my passport They call me Indian abroad But in my own land, I don't know who I am. In South Africa, I am colored. In the U.S.A. I'm minus red. To the English, I am a wog. I still don't know, Who I am. Beyond the Vindhyas, I'm a Southie Or more often a Madrasi. In Madras, I am a Malyalee Does anyone know, Who I am To the Muslims, I am Hindu To the Hindus, I'm a Brahmin Or some other caste name Do tell me, Who I am Or worse by religion and caste Sometimes even by my race Who can say who I am? I wish they'd call me Indian And be done with it Not bother with anything else So that for good I know, Who I am. |
| Mary
had a little lamb, Little lamb, little lamb. Mary had a little lamb, Its fleece was white as snow. Everywhere that Mary went, Mary went, Mary went, Everywhere that Mary went, The lamb was sure to go. |
| There
was a naughty boy, And a naughty boy was he, He ran away to Scotland The people for to see- There he found, That the ground was as hard, That a yard was as long, That a song was as merry, That a cherry was as red, That lead was as weighty, That four score was as eighty, That a door was as wooden as in England- So he stood in his shoes, and he wondered, He stood in his shoes and he wondered. |

Dashing
through the snow, In a one-horse open sleigh Through the fields we go Laughing all the way. Bells on bob-tail ring, Making spirits bright What fun it is to ride and sing, A sleighing song tonight. Cho: Jingle bells, jingle bells, Jingle all the way, Oh what fun it is to ride, In a one-horse open sleigh, Jingle bells, jingle bells, Jingle all the way, Oh what fun it is to ride, In a one-horse open sleigh. A day or two ago, I thought I'd take a ride And soon miss fanny bright, Was seated by my side; The horse was lean & lank, Misfortune seemed his lot, We ran into a drifted bank, And there we got upshot. A day or two ago, The story I must tell I went out on the snow, And on my back I fell; A gent was riding by, In a one-horse open sleigh. He laughed at me as I there sprawling laid, But quickly drove away, Now the ground is white,Go it while you're young, Take the girls alongAnd sing this sleighing song Just bet a bob-tailed bay,Two-forty as his speed, Hitch him to an open sleigh And crack! You'll take the lead. |

| "O
Mary, go and call the cattle home, And call the cattle home, And call the cattle home Across the sands of Dee; "The western wind was wild and dank with foam, And all alone went she. The western tide crept up along the sand, And o'er and o'er the sand, And round and round The sand, As far as eyes could see. The rolling mist came down and hid the land, And never home came she. "Oh! is it weed, or fish, or floating hair- A tress of golden hair,A drowned maiden's hair Above the nets at sea? Was never salmon yet that Shone so fair Among the stakes on Dee. "They rowed her in across, The rolling foam, The cruel crawling foam,The cruel hungry foam; To her grave beside the sea: But still the boatmen hear her Call the cattle home, Across the sands of Dee. |

What
is this life if, Full of care, We have no time to stand and stare? No time to stand beneath the boughs And stare as long as sheep or cows? No time to see, when woods we pass, Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass? No time to see, in broad daylight, Streams full of stars, like skies at night? No time to turn at Beauty's glance, And watch her feet, How they can dance? No time to wait till her mouth can, Enrich that smile her eyes began? A poor life this if, Full of care, we have no time to stand and stare. |
