World
Environment Day - June 5, 2004
Yes,
The Mother Earth is for us. But does this mean that
the other species or souls have no place on earth? Are
we the exclusive Masters of the earth? Then why insects
and flies roam about in our room uninvited? Why?
And
for this, we have to celebrate the World Environment
Day on June 5, 2004 (Saturday) in a "human"
way. Let us give a party to Ants - our tiniest brothers
and sisters on the cusion of this Mother Earth. A spoonful
sugar be dropped under the neighboring trees, plants,
or shrubs. Let the ants enjoy those sugar specks offered
by you and all your family with all love and no expectation.
In
fact we should give party to all the animals or insects
that day e g A - Ants ; B - Bee, Bats ; C - Cats ; D
- Dogs, etc. etc. Really they are all our kins. The
Mother Earth is nourishing and nurturing those along
with us.
Environment
does not mean that we should kill those under the grab
of cleanliness. They equally have right to live on this
Mother Earth. As they live they also have right on our
love i. e.their kins love. The Mobile phones have driven
out chirping sparrows. Let the ants, our perpetual friends
since the birth of the Earth, have our love! This is
the genuine environment.
That
Day, before having bed-tea, take a spoonful sugar and
sprinkle it beneath the flower plant shrubs or trees.
And remember that you will have to be sugar-less that
day. Your lunch, drinks and all that you consume that
day will be without sugar. That is the real sacrifice.
We
will be doing this in our house as usual. There will
be no speeches, no claps, no platforms on World Environment
Day.
