gms Ripe large tomatoes (coarsely chopped)

tsp Cumin seeds (jeera)
oil in a saucepan & add the seasoning ingredients.
they sizzle, add tomatoes & green chili.
and let it cook for a while till tomatoes are mushy. When done, add
dates and salt.
the cover & cook for some more time. Keep stirring in between.
sure that tomatoes do not stick to the bottom of the pan.
the tomatoes are cooked completely add sugar and cook till all the sugar
for a while and turn off the flame. Remove the green chili and pour
the chutney in the serving dish.
it cool completely. Tasty chutney is ready.
seasoning ingredients should be roasted & powdered.
