Kathiawadi Vada

Ingredients:

  • 1cup wheat.
  • 1cup rice.
  • ¼ cup black gram (udad dal)
  • 1 cup green gram (magni dal)
  • ¼ cup curd.
  • 2 sp oil.
  • Oil for frying.
  • 2 to 3 green chilies.
  • 1 small piece of ginger.
  • ½ sp turmeric.
  • ½ sp sugar.
  • 2 sp fresh coriander.
  • A pinch of asafetida.
  • A pinch of soda bi carbonate.

 

Method::

  • Grind wheat, rice & dal in mixer without water.
  • Add salt, soda bi carbonate, curd, 2 sp oil and a little lukewarm water.
  • Make a thick paste and keep it aside for 8 to 10 hrs.
  • Add ginger chilly paste in the paste.
  • Add asafetida, turmeric, sugar and coriander.
  • Heat oil in a pan and deep-fry the vada.
  • Keep it on the absorbent paper.
  • Serve it hot with chutney.
