¼ cup black gram (udad dal)
1 cup green gram (magni dal)
¼ cup curd.
2 sp oil.
Oil for frying.
2 to 3 green chilies.
1 small piece of ginger.
½ sp turmeric.
½ sp sugar.
2 sp fresh coriander.
A pinch of asafetida.
A pinch of soda bi carbonate.
Grind wheat, rice & dal in mixer without water.
Add salt, soda bi carbonate, curd, 2 sp oil and a little lukewarm water.
Make a thick paste and keep it aside for 8 to 10 hrs.
Add ginger chilly paste in the paste.
Add asafetida, turmeric, sugar and coriander.
Heat oil in a pan and deep-fry the vada.
Keep it on the absorbent paper.
Serve it hot with chutney.
