Curd Rice
  • 2 cups Rice.
  • Salt To taste.
  • 2 cups Curd.
  • 2 cups Water.
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds (moti)
  • 5-6 Kari Patta.
  • 1 tsp Urad Dal.
  • 3-4 Dry Red Chilly (sabut)
  • 2 Green chilly (finely chopped)
  • 1Ginger.
  • 1 tbsp Oil for Tadka.
  • Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • Boil rice in the normal way.
  • Add water and salt to curd and beat it.
  • Add rice to it and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a kadahi.
  • Add mustard seeds, kari patta, urad dal sabut red chilly, ginger and green chilly.
  • Add rice (mixed with curd) to it in the kadahi.
  • Stir it till it starts bubbling.
  • Switch off the gas.
  • It should not become too dry.
  • If required, add some more curd and water.
  • Sprinkle coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with coriander chutney or coconut chutney.
