Papaya Salad
Ingredients:
  • 1 Small Raw Papaya (peeled & coarsely grated)
  • 4-5 Green Chilies (slit)
  • ¼ tsp. Cumin Seeds.
  • ¼ tsp. Mustard Seeds.
  • 2 pinches Asafoetida.
  • 1 tsp. Sugar.
  • 1 tsp. Lemon Juice.
  • 1 tsp. Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp. Oil.
  • Salt to taste.
 
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan & add cumin & mustard seeds & asafoetida, allow spluttering.
  • Add green chilies & grated papaya.
  • Then add sugar, limejuice, salt & coriander.
  • Mix well. Remove from heat.
  • Let it cool, then serve with papdi.
  • Use it on the same day. If refrigerated can be stored for 2 day.
Note:
  • It could be used as salad with roti-sabji.
