Veg Burger
Ingredients:
  • 10 burgers buns
  • 10 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 10 tbsp green chutney
  • 10 slices of onions (optional)
  • 10 slices of cucumber
  • 10 slices of tomatoes
  • some cabbage shredded
For The Burgers
  • 150 gms kale chane soaked overnight and boiled with little salt and then mashed coarsely, and it should be thick
  • 150 gms boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 10 slices of brown bread grated into bread crumbssalt to taste
  • 1 tsp amchur,
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • pastered chilli powder (optional)
  • 10 tsp grated paneer
Method:
  • Mix all the ingredients of the burger except paneer into a fairly tough dough.
  • Divide into 10 balls.
  • Heat a nonstick pan and put some oil on it.
  • Now take one ball at a time and stuff with one tsp of paneer and shape it into a flat tikki.
  • Make all the tikkis and shallow fry on the pan from both the sides on slow flame.
  • Take one burger bun cut it from the middle toast it with little butter.
  • Put one tsp of ketchup on one inside of the bun and one tsp of green chutney on the other.
  • Place a burger/ tikki on the bun, then a slice of tomato, one slice of cucumber and one slice of onion, some cabbage and cover with the other part of the bun.
  • Pierce a toothpick through the bun and serve hot with chutney and ketchup.
