In Gujarati
  • 2 liters Milk
  • 1 cup Sugar or as per taste
  • Cardamom/ Nutmeg (powdered)
  • Almond/ Pistachio chopped.
  • Take a vessel put 1 tbsp of water in the bottom & then pour milk in it. (This will help milk not to stick at the bottom).
  • Bring it to boil.
  • Once it starts boiling lower the heat & boil it stirring continuously till its colour is a slight brownish & its quantity is almost half i.e. its thick enough as basundi.
  • When done, add sugar, cardamom, nutmeg & dry fruits.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool.
  • Keep on stirring till it cools.
  • Tasty basundi is ready to be served
