KMF was established on the aupicious International Women's day is 8th March 1990. The main motto to establish this federation was to until the women and make them aware of their strength. Naliniben, K.P.Gala & Shantaben Achorwala were the main personality to lay the foundation of KMF and make best possible use of Women's strength. The main suppostive hands were Advocate K.P.Gala , Mahendrabhai Shah, Navinbhai Pasad- Chartered Accountant & Shantibhai Rambhai.

q Main Features of KMF :

• Today around 80 institution of various villages are connected with KMF.
• There are around 400 life members.
• Institution is honoured to receive 80G hance are can get tax benefit from their donation.

q Past Activities of the Institution :

• Distribution of Rain coats to needy.
• Organising senior citizens fair.
• By the success of the fair, established Van-Vihar institute.
• Established toy library on 1991.
• 1992-Organised Yuva Abhiyan at Parsi Gymkhana.
• 1993 a book on population census was published. The book was published in 2 parts - one included Kanthi - Abhdassa and second of Vagad.
• Besides lecturer & camps are regurlarly held on various subjects like - Matrimonial problem, Divorce problem, Women's contribution in establishment of bank, self defence, cooking classes for gents etc. Also stalls in Amrut Mohatsav were distributed to newly started cottage industries at reasonable cost.
  Also competitions are organised like Healthy lady competition, oraganising camp, elocution competition public speaking classes etc.

q Sewing machine Scheme : For economic indepence of women and to reserve their self - request the sewing machine scheme was implemented. Till today schemes are completed and aorund 250 sewing and biding machines were distributed. the main conviniers being : 1) Tarlaben Jayant Chheda; 2) Himaben Savla; 3) Bhavnaben Dedhia; 4) Kusumben Chheda. At the time of establishment Shantaben Anchorwala was the president, then later Naliniben Gala took up this post, and now at present Tarlaben Jayant Chheda is the president since last 4 years. But however Tarlaben is connected to KMF since last 11 years and served the institution as tresurer and later as vice president.

q Present Activities :

• Workshop for parents " Key to become successful parents".
• Religious Lectures : 'Jeevan Jivani Kala' by Jinchandraji Munivar.
                                  'Jeevan ma Dharam no Sthan' by Haribhai Kothari.
                                  'Hu Kaun, Kyan thi Thaya, Maru Sachu Swaroop Su?' by Dr.Bipinbhai Doshi.
• To make Life tension free, a program - "Hasya Ek Jadibuti" under the leadership of Gangjibhai Sethia.
• Demonstration of Yog.
• A lecture by Dr.Vijay Vasant Pradhan on Ayurvedic medicines.
• A lecture & Slide show on 'Vastushashtra' by Ajay Shah
• To encourage cottage industries and also to occupy the free time, workshop were held for Ana decoration, Nalachadi Nu Toran, Gift envelops, Rakhi making etc.
• Antakshri program during Snehmilan.

Institution also celebrated the 10th Anniversary of KMF on 10th April, 2000. The invited Chief Guest were Shri Jagshibhai Jetha, Shri Buddhichandbhai Maru & SHrimati Kantaben Vasanji Lakhamshi.
The main attraction of the pragram was "Kal Aaj Aur Kal" - the aim was to bring together 3 generations. ALso "Fashion Shows" were organised, choreographer being Hetan Gala.
Besides other ladies programmes were also arranged with the help of Kalpanaben Chheda & Bhartiben Chheda.

• Also children's camp & picnics are regularly held for knowing each other, a type of get-together.
• KMF has also regularly taken active participation during the time of crisis.
  During Kargil war fund of 6.5 lakh was collected & send to JnamBhumi Relief fund.
  During the Cyclone in Kutch fund of 1 lakh was collected.
• A lecture by Prof. Ritiben Desai on Home Science and Home Management which included money management, time management etc.
• A detalied lecture on Dieabities by Dr.Amzutbhai Vora. Also a book on diabities written by Dr Amzutbhai Vora was published which is avaible at institutional office.
• To increasethe self - cinfidence in ladies solo acting competition ws held on 20th April 2001. Judges were :
  1) Mrs Anandaben Viju Shah- daughter-in-law of renowned music director Kalyanjibhai.
  2) Mrs Shilaben Mehta - artist in "Ghar ghar ki Kahani".

During Eathquake in Kutch a samiti was established named "Bhukamp mahila Samiti". These samiti was the main helping hand to Kutch Yuval Sang & Bidada Sarvoday Trust in collection of Funds.

KMF is tahfull to all its donors, members and well wishers for their continous support. Women is the unseperable, unigonarable and most important part of the society. Thus KMF aims to preserve the dignity of women & enhance her even more.
