Scheme IV: Computers
in Kutch.
Prior to earthquake, the NRI’s of USA have visited us and
proposed the utilization of computer in Kutch. The people of the
Kutch are holding a very important and responsible position in USA that
even the contribution is being recognized.
The above fact cannot be ignored by the world and we have further
inquired in the matter for free donation of used or second hand
computer of the level 386 capable enough to run internet and also
obsolete peripherals such as hard disk, etc. for the schools,
religious place of the Kutch which will create many
‘Bill Gates’ in the desert economy people and thus promoting
computer business as such.
We also recommend to offer free computer or offer special
concession for promoting computer business by promoting special
sanction of free trade zone available to Kutch for Resettlement and establishing
platform between the remote Kutch and whole of world.
The donation of such computers may be made in schools, Panchayat,
library, post office, Mahajan, etc.(Minimum 10 computers should be alloted
per village consisting of 500 houses)
Scheme V: Develop Tourism
The
disaster of Kutch is a very sad event but Mr Vijay chheda (NRI) is
of the view that disaster debrics can be turned into a tourism
place as it has happened in many parts of the world. There are certain
areas to be enmarked where 100% damage has occurred. Such areas can be
enmarked for travel and tourism beside the tourist spots like Megalitic
Kabar, Dholavira, Jesal Toral, Dinosaurs Egg, Present Earthquake Debris,
etc. This will in turn promote the handicraft industry and create
business opportunities.
The Dholavira site is well known
for its Harappan culture and is of great historical
importance since it is the most significant site in the Indian archaelogy.
Dholavira
is among the five major cities of this culture. It is thus one of the two largest known Indus Culture settlements
in India.
It has attracted a lot of tourists from allover the world for research
purposes. This site has got a 500 crore approval from foreign
resources for its development. Similarly other historical places can be
developed and Kutch can be developed as an interesting tourist place.
It
has been requested to the Government to give a long term tax exemtion
for the ‘Travel and Tourism industry of Kutch’
and thus boost the handicraft industry.
